Join the College of Engineering along with the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Fine Arts, and the Tepper School of Business for a conversation on Asian American struggles against racism. We will discuss the long history of anti-Asian racism, as well as the many ways that Asian Americans have forged anti-racist solidarities across borders of many kinds.

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Judy Tzu-Chun Wu, a professor of Asian American Studies and the director of the Humanities Center at the University of California, Irvine
  • Dr. Van C. Tran, an associate professor of Sociology and deputy director of Center for Urban Research at CUNY Graduate Center
  • Dr. Charissa Cheah, a professor in the Department of Psychology and Asian Studies Faculty Affiliate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County
  • Clara Lam, a second-year student studying Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University and serves as the Advocacy Chair for the Asian Students Association
