Event description
This workshop aims to strengthen the network between teacher-researchers and transport stakeholders. It will focus on improving sustainable accessibility and mobility, with a particular focus on the professionalization and digital transformation of paratransit services. The workshop will seek the participation of representatives of Afretec faculty members, local and national governments. It will focus on empowering teachers or Ph.D. students to collaborate with administrative agents to solve transport problems.
The expected outcomes of the workshop are:
- Increased awareness and understanding of the potential of AI to improve urban mobility and accessibility in Senegal
- Identification of specific AI-powered solutions that can be implemented in Senegal
- Development of a roadmap for the adoption and implementation of AI in the urban mobility sector
- Foster collaboration and partnerships among key stakeholders
- Recommendations for policy and regulatory frameworks to support the responsible and ethical development and deployment of AI in urban mobility
