April 14, 2025

4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET

Singleton Room, Roberts Hall

What's the difference between intellectual property (IP) and entrepreneurship?

How can faculty navigate this space to extend the impact of their research?

This session, co-sponsored by the Center for Faculty Success and the College’s new entrepreneurial support effort, will explore intellectual property and entrepreneurship, and introduce faculty, Ph.D. students, and postdocs to the helpful resources available to them.

Anita Jesionowski, Senior Director of Research Partnerships & Entrepreneurship, and Jake Greenberg, Senior Licensing Manager at the Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation (CTTEC), will present information about IP and entrepreneurship at CMU.

Anita will moderate a panel with faculty who have successfully navigated this space: Carmel Majidi, Clarence H. Adamson Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Keith Cook, David E. Schramm Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Department Head, and Reeja Jayan, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty Director of CFS.
