There is so much data out there, but how do we know what data we need to impact our communities for the better? As more individuals work to apply their data skills developed through the academic programs, it is becoming clear that knowing where and how to use data is just as vital within a research project as it is to support community advocacy.

This workshop will identify how to best collect, ethically use, and manage community based data projects for citizen science use. If you are interested in learning how to best connect data skills to community advocacy, please join us for a hands on session using local data.
