Senior Director of Partnerships, CyLab
Michael Lisanti is the senior director of partnerships at CyLab, the Carnegie Mellon University Security and Privacy Institute. In this role, Lisanti leads the CyLab business engagement program, building relationships and developing strategies for corporate and government partners to collaborate with CMU faculty and student researchers. He designed the engagement models and established the partnerships leading to the launch of strategic initiatives including CyLab-Africa, CyLab Venture Network, Future Enterprise Security, Secure and Private IoT, and Secure Blockchain.
Lisanti served as the lead meeting organizer for the National Science Foundation's Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace Principal Investigators’ Meeting (2024 NSF SaTC PI Meeting), and the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) 2019 Sovereign Challenge conference.
Prior to returning to CMU, he led product management and business development teams at technology companies including Keylingo Translations, DynaVox Mayer-Johnson (now Tobii Dynavox), ST Engineering iDirect, Ericsson (formerly Marconi/FORE Systems), AT&T/NCR, EDS (now HP), and IBM.
Lisanti appreciates his role helping people connect and engage in the critical field of cybersecurity at CMU, his alma mater, in Pittsburgh, his hometown.
