Lauren Greenwald is the program coordinator for community engagement for the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. She earned a BA in political science and communication and a master’s in higher education, both from the University of Pittsburgh. Greenwald oversees the EMERGE mentorship program for first-year engineering students, helps coordinate the PITA Student Fellowship, and serves as an advisor for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She works closely with the Community Engagement Student Council to address the needs and concerns of the College of Engineering student population. In addition, Greenwald acts as a liaison between her office and student organizations, providing guidance, support, and fostering collaboration. With a strong focus on mentorship and student development, her work aims to empower and support all students, particularly undergraduates, as they navigate their academic and personal growth at Carnegie Mellon.
