Stephanie Caruso is the associate director of student services and engagement for Carnegie Mellon University’s Silicon Valley campus. A part of the student affairs team, Caruso is responsible for the student services on the campus and is the campus liaison to the Office of International Education and to Student Health Services. She also is responsible for campus-wide student engagement opportunities through student activities, events, and student organizations.

Prior to starting as the associate director in 2020, Caruso served as the assistant director of student affairs at Yale University where she advised and oversaw student organizations and the student body government in Yale College. Before working at Yale, Caruso spent five years working in academic affairs at CMU-SV in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, first as the academic services coordinator and student organizations advisor and later as an academic advisor.

Caruso has a master’s of education in student affairs administration from the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse and a bachelor’s of science in movement science from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, she loves trail running, hiking with her husband and dog, photography, and cooking new vegetarian recipes.
