Shobhit Aggarwal is the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for Robotics at Carnegie Mellon's Manufacturing Futures Institute. He leverages his expertise in product development, robotics, and manufacturing digitization to oversee the robotic assembly/disassembly testbed at Mill 19. The testbed includes four industrial robot arms equipped with sensors that are used to test and advance robotic assembly and disassembly using Lego® bricks, and two autonomous mobile robots are used in research aimed at training robots to move supplies efficiently and safely throughout a facility.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from IIT Roorkee and a master’s degree in integrated Innovation from Carnegie Mellon. He is passionate about driving advancements in robotics and the digitization of manufacturing processes, and he is committed to finding innovative solutions in this rapidly evolving field.
