The College of Engineering Alumni Awards honor members of the College of Engineering community who make an impact in industry and on the college.

Nominations for the 2026 College of Engineering Alumni Awards are open now! Nominations will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025.

To submit a nomination, complete the online nomination form. When submitting the form, you will need to attach the supporting documents described in the "Nomination Materials" section below.

Award Categories

  • Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award: This award is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon College of Engineering alumni who have demonstrated exceptional accomplishments in their respective professional fields, whether through groundbreaking innovations, influential leadership, or notable advancements that have positively impacted society. Recipients of this award are distinguished individuals whose achievements bring honor to themselves and the college.
  • Alumni Service Excellence Award: This award honors College of Engineering alumni who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the college community through their volunteer service. Recipients of this award have made a significant impact by generously contributing their time, talent, and expertise to support the college and its departments, selflessly giving back to the College of Engineering, whether through mentorship programs, guest lectures, career counseling, or other forms of volunteerism and engagement (financial contributions are not considered).
  • Recent Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award: This award is bestowed upon College of Engineering alumni who have graduated within the last decade for remarkable professional accomplishments, groundbreaking innovations, or notable advancements that positively impact society.
  • Recent Alumni Service Excellence Award: This award honors College of Engineering alumni who have graduated within the last decade for significant service to the college and its departments through dedicated volunteering and engagement.

Nomination Materials

Nominations for the 2026 College of Engineering Alumni Awards are open now! Nominations will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Please complete the online nomination form to nominate exceptional alumni. In order for nominations to be considered, the following supporting materials must be uploaded to the nomination form when submitting:

  1. A professional summary, such as a resume, CV, or professional bio detailing the nominee(s) professional/personal activities. A PDF of the nominee's LinkedIn profile is acceptable.
  2. A one-page nomination letter describing why you believe the nominee should receive a College of Engineering Alumni Award.
  3. A one- to two-page letter of support written by someone other than the nominator. This letter can be submitted on behalf of an individual or a group and should provide additional context and insight about the nominees' impact.

Nominations cannot be accepted without the supporting materials listed above.

Selection process

Each year, the recipients of the College of Engineering Alumni Awards are selected by members of the Alumni Awards Committee, which is composed of several members of the Dean's Advocacy Council, as well as representatives from the College of Engineering faculty and staff. Nominations are evaluated entirely on the impact of the nominee's professional or vocational work and/or service to the College of Engineering.

FAQs

  • What if I missed the nomination deadline?
    Don't worry! Nominations for next year can be submitted at any time and will be considered for the following year's College of Engineering Alumni Awards.
  • Do award recipients need to attend the ceremony?
    YES. Honorees must be able to attend the award ceremony during Carnival to receive their award. If they cannot attend, their award will be held and presented the following year.
  • Can deceased alumni be nominated?
    Unfortunately, awards will not be presented posthumously.
