The research team aims to develop novel theories and tools to generate digital twins of typical manufacturing environments for assessing and training intelligent robots in manufacturing. This project builds upon previous work to make warehouse robots smart enough to deploy in any facility easily, to quickly train themselves to navigate in new dynamic environments, and to safely work with humans as well as sizeable fleets of other robots.
