Rohit Negi received a B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 1995. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University in 1996 and 2000, respectively, both in electrical engineering. Since 2000, he has been with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, where he is a professor. His research interests include signal processing, coding for communication systems, information theory, networking, and power grid analysis. Negi received the President of India Gold Medal in 1995.
