The TRUMPF TruPrint 3000 utilizes a 500 watt fiber laser (with 100 to 500 µm beam spot size) that generates the energy needed for sintering metal powder. The LPBF process takes place in a protective argon atmosphere. The TRUMPF TruPrint 3000 supports processing for a wide range of materials: from light metals to stainless and tool steels to superalloys. Full control over the parameter set gives freedom to modify power, velocity, etc. of the laser beam to meet individual requirements.
