Hosted by the University of Rwanda in partnership with Afretec and other institutions, the workshop will gather faculty, students, professional staff, gender networks, industry leaders, policymakers, and development partners to promote gender equity and inclusive leadership in STEM fields. The event's theme is "From Vision to Impact: Redefining STEM by Closing the Gender Gap."
The event will provide a strategic platform for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and capacity building through keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, and interactive sessions addressing gender bias, mentorship, inclusive leadership pathways, and institutional practices that support women in STEM. Participants will include representatives from regional gender consortia, women in STEM clubs, and Afretec partner universities.
The workshop aims to strengthen collaboration, influence institutional policies, and equip participants with practical strategies to advance inclusive leadership and increase the meaningful participation of women and underrepresented groups in technology and STEM across the Afretec network and beyond.
This event is open to both Afretec members and other interested participants
