Event description

This two-day interactive workshop introduces participants to the intersection of planetary and environmental health, climate change, and artificial intelligence, beginning with a strong foundation in AI concepts. It will explore the history and evolution of AI, core principles and tools, and critical discussions around AI ethics, governance, and responsible use, particularly in the context of environmental and global health challenges.

Building on this foundation, it will focus on the practical application of AI and digital technologies to address pressing climate and environmental issues. Through hands-on sessions, case studies, and collaborative exercises, participants will examine how AI-driven innovations, can support and drive sustainable solutions.

By combining foundational knowledge with applied practice, the workshop aims to equip participants with both conceptual understanding and actionable skills. Attendees will leave with a clearer grasp of how to responsibly leverage AI to advance environmental solutions, as well as concrete ideas for integrating these tools into research, policy, and practice for planetary health.
