The Bahr El-Baqar Water Reclamation Plant in Egypt holds the Guinness World Record as the world’s largest wastewater treatment facility, with a daily capacity of 5.6 million cubic meters. The plant is designed to treat agricultural drainage water and represents a cornerstone of the Sinai Development Program (valued at over USD 1 billion). The project aims to expand agricultural land in Egypt, particularly in the Sinai Peninsula, by supplying treated water to 400,000 feddans of arable land.
As part of the EPC consortium consultant team at AAW, Dr. Saleh will present an in-depth overview of the engineering design, construction, and delivery of this landmark project. The workshop will also address key technical challenges, highlight innovative engineering solutions, and discuss large-scale project management strategies.
