Lotfi Gaafar

Lotfi Gaafar is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, dean of the School of Science and Engineering, and associate dean for Undergraduate Studies of the School of Sciences and Engineering. He graduated in 1982 from Ain Shams University from the mechanical engineering department. He earned his MSc in 1989 from Arizona State University and his Ph.D. in 1992 from Arizona State University.

His research interests span across automatic validation of simulation models, applications of mixture designs in simulation studies, control charts for auto-correlated data and process mapping in business process reengineering.
