MCF Tutorial: Dictionary and Spherical Indexing for EBSD Data Analysis

This tutorial session will cover the use of the Dictionary Indexing (DI) approach for the analysis of EBSD data sets.  We will demonstrate how one can use the open source EMsoftOO package to index EBSD diffraction patterns, from the computation of an EBSD master pattern to pattern center refinement, indexing, and orientation refinement.  Some basic familiarity with EBSD will be useful.
