Jayan shares work at Energy and Innovation Summit

The inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit, attended by U.S. President Donald Trump along with White House officials, Senator Dave McCormick, Governor Josh Shapiro, investors and leaders from major companies in Energy and AI, was held on July 15, 2025 at Carnegie Mellon.
D3OM2S member and research lead of Thrust 3 Reeja Jayan was invited to present the breakthrough battery nanocoating technology developed by SeaLion Energy, a company spun out from Jayan's Lab at CMU.
SeaLion Energy is backed by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) CIRCULAR program and aims to redefine the durability and economics of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, grid storage, aerospace systems, and AI data centers.
