CMKL University holds Tech Summit 2018

On December 13, 2018, CMKL University held the first AI technology summit in Thailand at the CW Tower in Bangkok. Professionals from a variety of industries attended to gain insight from the real practice of AI and case studies and to learn how to create innovation through partnership between universities and the private sector.

The summit covered how AI will revolutionize education, healthcare, agriculture, social analytics, retail technology, and the creation of smart cities, and prepared professionals to take on the next wave of digital transformation. It also offered them the opportunity to learn from CMU pioneers of AI and both public and industry experts.

The featured speakers were Surakiart Sathirathai, chairman of the CMKL University board, and José M.F. Moura, professor of electrical and computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and trustee at CMKL University. Sathirathai spoke on the future economy and digital challenges, while Moura discussed how a city can be transformed using AI. Other speakers included faculty members from Carnegie Mellon University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and industry leaders.
