Hae Young Noh is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her research concerns the analysis and control of dynamic systems using statistical signal processing, and machine learning techniques, particularly algorithm development for smart structures, and systems to conserve energy and resources to provide safe, functional, and sustainable environments. She received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in civil and environemental engineering at Carnegie Mellon, and a second M.S. degree in electrical engineering at Stanford University. She studied mechanical and aerospace engineering at Cornell University as an undergraduate.
