Student attendees
The Technical Opportunities Conference (TOC) offers students a great opportunity to connect with companies for both full-time and summer employment. The TOC starts off the recruiting season and gives students a head start in connecting with companies.
Various other networking events and information sessions also surround the TOC, increasing the opportunity to make valuable relationships. A variety of companies attend the TOC to match the diverse academic technical interests on campus.
While the TOC is sponsored by the College of Engineering, it is open to students from all over campus who are pursuing technical studies. We welcome students from SCS, MCS, Dietrich, Tepper, Heinz, and CFA, as well as from Engineering.
The TOC is run by the Society of Women Engineers, a student organization on campus, and is supported by the College of Engineering.
Event details
This year’s Technical Opportunities Conference is scheduled to take place from Monday, September 16 – Wednesday, September 18 in the Weigand Gym on the first floor of the Cohon University Center. There will also be large tech companies in Rangos Ballroom on September 16 only.
Student check-in will take place in the hallways outside of the Weigand Gym and Rangos Ballroom. Students are not permitted to line up before 9:30 a.m. for the morning session and 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon session. There are no exceptions due to fire code.
Students must have a valid campus ID to gain admission to the TOC. Nametags or materials to make nametags will not be provided.
No backpacks or laptop bags will be permitted in the TOC. A bag check will be available in the activities room on the second floor of the university center.
