Artificial intelligence

As the world becomes increasingly digital and connected, Carnegie Mellon researchers are eager to advance the research on artificial intelligence (AI), the notion that computers and other machines can complete tasks that humans consider “smart.”

With a particular focus on machine learning and advanced algorithms, AI research at Carnegie Mellon is being conducted and tested in various applications ranging from facial recognition to systems that can autonomously find and fix software bugs before they are exploited.
