The Inflation Reduction Act signed into law in 2022 seeks to identify and incentivize the development of clean energy sites at energy communities, which are described as a "brownfield" site or an area that had a coal mine shut down after 1999 or a coal-fired plant after 2009. This project will develop a database and interactive map of these communities in designated areas in PA.
