The extensive space available on warehouse roofs to deploy and operate solar energy systems makes it possible to augment the use of renewable energy in the State. This project will evaluate the inventory of warehouse roof space for solar generation, develop the total energy capacity and the economics (levelized cost of electricity, IRR, CO2 emissions offset, etc.), and review current policies. The work will utilize the widely used U.S. Department of Energy's tool System Advisory Model (https://sam.nrel.gov/ ) for the assessment.
