Evaluation of long-term and recent regional climate trends for Pennsylvania

This project will involve collection and analysis of regional/local climate data, including rainfall, snow, and temperature data. Long-term trends will be compared to trends over the last 30 years. Statistical analysis will be applied to evaluate trends. Results will be prepared in effective, easy to interpret graphics, in a format for publication on a website. Regional analyses conducted as part of the National Climate Assessment, as well as the Pennsylvania Climate Impacts Assessment Update will be used as starting points for this study. The focus of the study will be the development of methods for assessment and presentation of local climate change information. It will provide information for people who ask the question “what does global climate change mean for my community, region, and state?”
