Thema Monroe-White

Thema Monroe-White is an evaluator, instructor, and race scholar. White is an assistant professor in the Department of Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Data Analytics at Berry College and academic director of the Campbell Center for Data Analytics. As an interdisciplinary scholar, she examines the entrepreneurial, workforce, and educational pathways of racially minoritized groups in science, engineering, and information technology fields. Her research is concerned with understanding the innovative pathways for achieving social and economic justice for minoritized groups via data literacy, STEM education, and entrepreneurship. White has received multiple federal grants to study racial equity in entrepreneurship and STEM fields and has been named a special government employee data scientist for the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. She holds a Ph.D. in science, technology, and innovation policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Howard University.
