First-year undergraduate student orientation

Going away to college is a big transition and the Orientation program at Carnegie Mellon is designed to make that transition easier for all first year and transfer students. Orientation is a mandatory weeklong program organized by the Office of Orientation and Family Programs and current Carnegie Mellon students to introduce incoming students to each other, the campus, academic life and the local community. Over 150 current students will welcome new students to campus and will work hard throughout Orientation to make sure it's a memorable week and a great introduction to life at Carnegie Mellon.
