MFI will be holding monthly luncheons throughout the year to discuss progress, organizational strategy, funding opportunities, and collaborations related to advanced manufacturing.

Innovation and manufacturing summit
The first in a series of manufacturing summits will be held on campus in the spring/summer of 2018 to bring together regional and national leaders in innovation and manufacturing from industry, government, and academia. The two-day event will address the current state and trajectory of manufacturing research and the manufacturing industry, identify critical needs and opportunities for strategic growth, and showcase the university’s and the region’s advances in innovation and manufacturing.

Kennametal manufacturing futures speaker series
The series will bring senior level speakers to campus who are leaders in the manufacturing industry. This will introduce world manufacturing thought leaders from industry, government, and academia to the Carnegie Mellon University community as well as our partners in the region. All are invited to attend.
