By attending the Technical Opportunities Conference, your company is contributing to other events sponsored by the Carnegie Mellon Society of Women Engineers, such as Race for the Cure, a run for cancer research, and High School Day, an event held during the mid-semester break that enlists the help of faculty members and students for the planning of hands-on sessions to expose high school girls to the world of engineering.
In addition, we raise money for Roselia Center, a shelter for young mothers and their children, and we sponsor a holiday event for the distribution of toys and meals. SWE also hosts the College of Engineering Annual Ball, a social event for the entire Carnegie Mellon campus. Your support will also help our chapter send representatives from Carnegie Mellon to the Society of Women Engineers Annual Convention and the Society of Women Engineers Regional Convention. In the past, Carnegie Mellon's Society of Women Engineers received the National Outstanding Collegiate Activities Certificates for their re-establishment of Engineering Week Activities at CMU.
Companies and organizations can further support the TOC and SWE by placing an advertisement in the student guide. Advertising in the TOC Student Guide allows students to learn about your company, such as career opportunities, desirable majors, and other details. The Guide also serves as a quick reference source that lists your company's name, logo, statement, and interview dates, as well as booth location at the TOC. Prices are as follows:
|Black & White||$250||$150|
If you wish to purchase ad space in this year's Student Guide, please include the request as part of your registration. Full-page ads should be 6.25" w x 8" h. Half-page ads should be 6.25" w x 4" h. Ads should be sent in PDF format.
* The deadline for receipt of advertising copy is August 24.
