Shipping booth materials

Incoming shipments

Please ship booth materials to the address listed below. Make sure to include your booth number on your shipment to guarantee its delivery to your booth.

Using the label we will provide, make sure your company name, booth number, and your date of attendance are prominently displayed on the outside of the shipment. We will deliver each companys materials to the appropriate booths the evening before your arrival.

*Shipments must be received by September 10. Shipments received after September 10 will be subject to a surcharge and we cannot guarantee they will be delivered to your booth.

Outgoing shipments

You can also ship your booth materials directly from the TOC when the event has concluded. At 5 p.m., our volunteers will assist you. Please place all items to be shipped on your booth table with completed shipping labels attached. We cannot guarantee that items left unpackaged or unlabeled will be returned. Volunteers will collect items. You can pick up shipping labels outside the break room during the afternoon, or ask one of our volunteers to provide them for you. Our shipment provider is FedEx. If you use a different shipper, you will have to manage your own arrangements.

There is a Tartan Ink office located in the University Center, which you can use to have materials printed in lieu of shipping them. Please contact James Ward at 412.268.4828 for details.

Note: Do NOT ship materials to Carnegie Mellon University. All materials must be shipped through Stetson Convention Services.

Arrival at the TOC

On the days of the event, plan to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and check in at the registration table in the lobby of the University Center. Please tell us how many recruiters will be coming via your Handshake registration. This information must be completely updated by September 14.


Parking will be available in the East Campus Garage on Forbes Avenue. Because of limited parking available on campus, each company will receive ONE parking code to park ONE car in the garage. Valet service will be available to park your car.

Material drop-off

Please plan to bring any materials with you from the parking garage. Unfortunately, there is no longer a turnaround located in front of the building.


You can set up your booth one hour before the TOC begins. You must first sign in at the registration desk. Unfortunately, it is not possible for you to set up your booth the evening before the TOC. However, if you make arrangements with the TOC student chairs, you may stop by the evening before the TOC to have a brief glimpse at your booth. You can check to make sure your booth materials arrived before the day of the TOC by contacting us.

Internet access

Internet access will be provided at registration. Your computer must have a wireless card to access the internet. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide wireless cards for any computers.

Refreshments and meals

From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the days of the event, coffee, water and soda will be available in the Connan Room. Breakfast will be available from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. in the Connan Room. Lunch will take place from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in a tent located between Doherty Hall and the College of Fine Arts building. The TOC will close during lunch to allow recruiters to take a break. 

Hotel accommodations

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center, which is located less than a mile from Carnegie Mellon University. Rooms will be available on a first come, first served basis. Please contact the Wyndham directly to make your reservation and reference the Technical Opportunities Conference in order to receive the special rate.
