Shipping booth materials

This year’s STEM Career Fair will not feature booths. Instead, each company will have a table for up to 2 representatives. Students will sign up for 10-minute time slots to meet with recruiters one-on-one. As a result, elaborate booth set ups are not necessary and are strongly discouraged.

Incoming shipments

SCF Goes Green/Swag Suggestions: SWE and the College of Engineering is dedicated to the University wide Scotty Goes Green initiative. As part of this effort, we ask that all SCF employers limit giveaways to those items that are practical and usable. These might include: candy, chap sticks, hand sanitizers, pens, and USB sticks.

If you choose to ship items, please contact Stetson Convention Services for details regarding your shipment, deadlines for shipping and the associated costs. For a fee to be paid by the company, Stetson will deliver each company’s materials to the appropriate booth before your arrival.

Please ship items to the address listed below. Make sure to include your booth number on your shipment to guarantee its delivery to your booth.

Outgoing shipments

You can also ship materials directly from the SCF when the event has concluded. At 5 p.m., our volunteers will assist you. Please place all items to be shipped on your booth table with completed shipping labels attached. We cannot guarantee that items left unpackaged or unlabeled will be returned. Volunteers will collect items. You can pick up shipping labels outside the break room during the afternoon or ask one of our volunteers to provide them for you. Our shipment provider is FedEx. If you use a different shipper, you will have to manage your own arrangements.

There is a Tartan Ink office located in the University Center, which you can use to have materials printed in lieu of shipping them. Please contact James Ward at 412.268.4828 for details.

Note: Do NOT ship materials to Carnegie Mellon University. All materials must be shipped through Stetson Convention Services.

Arrival at the STEM Career Fair

If you are attending in person, please plan to arrive between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, September 20th and check in at the registration table in the lobby of the University Center. Please tell us how many recruiters will be coming via your Handshake registration. This information must be completely updated by September 7th.

Parking

Parking will be available in the East Campus Garage on Forbes Avenue. Because of limited parking available on campus, each company will receive ONE parking code to park ONE car in the garage. Valet service will be available to park your car.

NOTE: PARKING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE BEFORE 8 A.M.

Material drop-off

Please plan to bring any materials with you from the parking garage. Unfortunately, there is no longer a turnaround located in front of the building.
