Maggie Oren is a strategist, storyteller, and ecosystem builder with more than a decade of experience driving innovation across startups, global corporations, and emerging technologies. She spent several years leading strategic partnerships at Volvo Group’s Innovation Lab in Silicon Valley, where she worked with startups, universities, accelerators, and internal teams to explore new ideas in mobility, energy, and sustainability. Her work focused on identifying early-stage technologies, launching pilot programs, and turning complex concepts into real-world impact.
Oren specializes in helping organizations navigate ambiguity—building momentum around new ideas, uncovering what creates real value, and moving innovations from theory to execution. She has deep experience in open innovation strategy, venture collaboration, and translating technical ideas into clear, compelling stories. She also speaks frequently on topics related to innovation, venture ecosystems, and the future of work.
At Carnegie Mellon, Maggie teaches graduate courses on innovation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on hands-on experimentation, strategic thinking, and value creation. She’s passionate about helping students grow their confidence in uncertain environments and develop the mindset to turn ideas into outcomes.
