Undergraduate Research Funding Sources
Student research, whether as part of the Honors program, a study group, or an individual project, is highly valued and can enhance your career opportunities. The university's Undergraduate Research Office (URO) provides options for students who need financial resources to effectively pursue their projects. Here is a brief list of the types of funding available to undergraduate students. Use the links provided to go to the URO site for detailed information on applications, proposals and deadlines.
Students are encouraged to submit abstracts, papers and presentations to relevant academic conferences. If your paper is accepted and you are presenting at the conference, the URO offers stipends to off set travel and lodging costs, up to $350. The following links will help you find conferences, but we recommend that you discuss your conference choices with your advisor before submitting.
